Netflix really does have some of the finest TV series available right now. Being a film enthusiast, I enjoy watching a wide variety of television programs, but my favorite shows are thrillers, mysteries, and suspense series; basically, I do hunt for some of the dopest mind-bending shows on Netflix. You should all watch these TV shows to have fun and have your mind blown, perhaps with a tinge of surprise and awe.

11 Mind-Bending Shows on Netflix

Black Mirror (2011)

IMDb – 8.8

Creator – Charlie Brooker

Tidbits – Incredible British anthology TV with a fascinating premise. The premise makes predictions about how current events, such as the crazed popularity of TV talent competitions and the influence of social media and cell phones on our lives, might or might not change in the future. Each episode focuses on a different theme and offers a unique story with a different protagonist.

Dark (2017)

mind-bending shows on netflix

IMDb – 8.7

Creator – Baran bo Odar
– Jantje Friese

Tidbits – This show does a perfect job of handling the “time-travel paradox.” I’m aware of how challenging it is to get it properly and avoid having several plot holes and poor plot devices. There is no question that this series is a masterpiece. It offers an incredible reward for viewers who enjoy cerebral shows that don’t spoon-feed the audience and also satisfies the viewer by answering the questions you have.

The Fall (2013)

IMDb – 8.1

Creator – Allan Cubitt

Tidbits – In this wonderfully made series, the hunt for a serial killer receives a convoluted but teeth-gnashing approach. It’s quite unsettling to witness someone with such a normal existence (wife, kids, career) acting so evilly on the inside. He gives his wife and children the best care possible, but he still stalks the streets and murders women.

The Sinner (2017)

IMDb – 7.9

Creator – Derek Simonds

Tidbits – In front of numerous witnesses, Cora, a young woman who appears normal, performs a shocking crime. There is no question about her guilt because we, as viewers, witnessed the crime as well. Opportunities and means are never in doubt, but what is the motive? This series’ primary mystery focuses on that.

The OA (2016)

IMDb – 7.8

Creator – Brit Marling
– Zal Batmanglij

Tidbits – Homecoming’s “opening credit scene” is truly one-of-a-kind, with a captivating voice-over, breathtaking vistas of Russia in the winter, and a wonderful violin intro, strings, drums, and choir. A young woman named Prairie Johnson makes her way back home after being missing for seven years. Not only does she suddenly appear back, but everyone is also shocked to discover that Prairie is no longer blind.

Lupin (2021)

IMDb – 7.5

Creator – George Kay
– François Uzan

Tidbits – Lupin is the story of a man out to avenge his father’s imprisonment for stealing a valuable necklace, which causes him to commit suicide. His father supported him in perusing Maurice Leblanc’s novels featuring the gentleman detective Arsene Lupin from an early age. He employs Lupin’s methods to exact revenge on Pellegrini (Herve Pierre), his father’s former employer. He is unaware that one of the cops working the heist case is a Lupin fan.

Castle Rock (2018)

IMDb – 7.5

Creator – Sam Shaw
– Dustin Thomason

Tidbits – The series, which is based on Stephen King’s books, includes people and ideas from the made-up town of Castle Rock. The psychological horror series, which takes place in the Stephen King multiverse, blends personal character storytelling with mythological scale, creating an epic tale of darkness and light that is set over a few square miles of Maine woodland.

Behind Her Eyes (2021)

IMDb – 7.2

Creator – Steve Lightfoot

Tidbits – This show features a fantastic final storyline twist, and in my opinion, that is what makes it stand out. Is the entire build-up worth what it ends up becoming in this movie? The conclusion, or sort of twist, that you might or might not predict. Now, you must ultimately decide how to evaluate that. This is one of the finest TV shows on Netflix.

Into the Night (2020)

IMDb – 7.1

Creator – Jason George

Tidbits – Survivors on an overnight flight from Brussels run from city to city in an effort to stay ahead of the sun’s rays by remaining under the cover of darkness after radiation from the sun creates a global tragedy on Earth. Simply said, you may watch the full season at once. It would be impossible for you to take a break due to the suspense it causes.

Anatomy of a Scandal (2022)

IMDb – 7

Creator – David E. Kelley
– Melissa James Gibson

Tidbits – A scandal about sexual consent that affected women who were part of the wealthy elite in Britain. The climax is completely unexpected, and the twists and turns are simply amazing. James Whitehouse, a minister in the parliament, had a wonderful family home and was happily married when a startling secret was revealed.

Tidbits – Despite numerous negative reviews from viewers, I found it fascinating and one of the mind-bending shows on Netflix. Two young brothers and sisters set out on a risky hunt for safety after a deadly virus decimates the majority of the population.
