Life is a gift and those who don’t enjoy it are committing a sin. We must live our life to the fullest no matter what the circumstances are. But, there are days when we don’t feel like talking to someone, going out or in other words functioning at all.
We should spend some alone time and do stuff that makes us happy and adds value to our life. There are so many things you can do that will lift up your spirits and put you in a better mood. You will feel like talking to humans again. Here is a list of such activities that you can do the next time you feel low.
Check these out-
Â
Â
1. Music-
Â
Oh! The most obvious and easy one. It is a scientific fact that good music lifts up your mood and is responsible for stimulating the brain chemicals. Research has proved that listening to music reduces anxiety, depression and improves your sleeping pattern.
So, next time you feel low grab your headphones and lift up your spirits.
Â
Â
2. Solo rides-
Â
Going on a long drive is sometimes all only therapy you need. Get the windows down if you are in a car and let the wind play with your hair. Trust us you are gonna feel so refreshed after this.
Â
Â
3. Comedy shows-
Â
Â
They definitely make you forget about your ‘feeling so blue’ mood and make you laugh your heart out. Try giving it a shot, this is tried and tested by me and works well in my favour.
Â
Â
4. Play with your pet-
Â
Â
No matter if you are a dog person or a cat person this will cheer you up. This is a scientifically proven fact that your pet uplifts your mood. It improves your overall sense of well-being. Pets give your mood a much-needed boost.
Â
Â
Â
5. Go shopping-
Â
Â
This works in any situation. Trying on new clothes in different styles and colours takes off your mind from other things. If you don’t want to go shopping for some expensive stuff then go grocery shopping and bring your favourite edible stuff.
Â
Â
6. Get a spa-
Â
Â
The smell of essential oils soothes your mind and the slow music playing by your side lets all your worries fade away. Treat yourself with a good massage or get a pedicure done. This will make you feel good.
Â
Â
7. Read a book-
Â
Â
Â
Nothing better than reading your favourite book on a bad day. Books are very good friends of humans and are perfect for passing your time.
Â
Â
Â
Â
8. Going through old albums-
Â
Â
What’s better than nostalgia to treat your moody blues. Going through old albums and watching your entire journey of growing up is sure to make you nostalgic.
Â
Â
9. Give yourself a treat-
Â
Â
When you are feeling low you are sometimes in no mood to even cook, in that case, treat yourself with a good dinner. Book that fancy restaurant you always wanted to go to and give yourself a treat. go to that bakery and eat your favourite slice of cake. You will definitely feel good after this.
Â
Â
10. Makeover-
Â
Â
Â
Visit a salon and try to break the monotony by giving yourself a makeover. Get a new haircut and watch for yourself how it changes your entire look as well as mood.
Â
Â

Very helpful sir , thanks for sharing with us.
Hey Bhawana,
This is very helpful and fantastic read. We all feel low at some point in our lives even if we had everything. That is inevitable. So, we should know what to do when we are facing that. Comedy shows work great for me. Big Bang Theory is my favorite. I always have at least one season of BBT on my laptop.
Thank you very much for sharing this. Hope you’ll write more like this.
Thank you so much Nirodha for appreciating. I have to start BBT next, have heard a lot about this show. HIMYUM and friends work well for me ?
Thanx for stopping by.
